What it actually is
Insights Discovery® is a self-awareness tool. Each person completes a questionnaire of around 25 minutes and receives a personal report describing how they think, how they communicate, what they value at work and what pushes their buttons.
Four colour energies that anyone still remembers a week later. It is not a diagnosis or a label. It is a map for talking about differences without anyone getting defensive.
What it is based on: Jung's psychology
The model starts from Carl Gustav Jung's work on psychological types. Jung described two attitudes —introversion and extraversion— and four functions: thinking, feeling, sensation and intuition.
Insights Discovery® translates that framework into a visual model that works at work, statistically validated and continuously updated. That is where the four colour energies come from: each person's combination, in different proportions, is their style.

The 4 colour energies explained
We all have all four. The difference is which one we reach for first and which one costs us most effort. Here they are, in short:
Direct, decisive, competitive. Gets to the point and wants results now.
When it goes too far: Can come across as blunt or impatient when in a hurry.
Sociable, enthusiastic, persuasive. Thinks out loud and spreads energy.
When it goes too far: Can lose focus and leave details unfinished.
Warm, patient, loyal. Looks after relationships and seeks agreement.
When it goes too far: Can avoid conflict and keep opinions to themselves.
Analytical, precise, rigorous. Wants information before deciding.
When it goes too far: Can slow decisions down looking for perfect information.
What it is used for in a company
The individual report is good. What changes results is what you do with it as a team. These are the most common uses:
- Leadership: adapting how you give feedback and delegate, person by person.
- Sales: understanding how your client decides and adjusting the conversation.
- Teams: seeing the collective map and spotting which energy is missing at the table.
- Conflict: separating intention from impact and stopping assumptions of bad faith.
- Onboarding: speeding up the integration of new joiners.
What a real session looks like
- 1
Each person completes the online questionnaire and receives their profile as a PDF.
- 2
In-person or virtual workshop: we validate profiles and build the team wheel.
- 3
Concrete agreements with an owner for each, plus a review weeks later so the change sticks.
Quick questions
Does it measure aptitude?
No. It doesn't measure ability or predict performance. It describes behavioural preferences.
Can it be used for recruitment?
We don't recommend it as a filter. It's there to develop the people you already have, not to rule candidates out.
Which languages is it available in?
In 33 languages, which makes it possible to work with international teams within the same framework.
